The Sunday service time (about one hour) is when we gather together in community in order to worship God. Just as there are seasons within God's creation, we enjoy worshipping God making our way through the seasons of the church - Advent, Christmas, Epiphany... Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary styles and includes prayers that are spoken and silent, readings from the Bible and sermons that support us in living out a vibrant faith. The first portion of worship includes a time especially for the children with the Minister (which the adults also enjoy) after which they leave the sanctuary for Sunday school.

Music plays an important part in our worship as lead by our keyboard player and choir. We have recently replaced our organ with a keyboard which is capable of producing a wide range of music.

In order to further enhance our worship we have recently installed a projection system to add a further visual dimension to the service.

Southminster is fully accessible and assisted hearing devices are available for those with hearing challenges.
