Rev. Dwain Ketcheson was appointed to Southminster United Church on July 1st, 2008. Dwain came to Southminster from having served at Memorial United Church, St. Catharines for 7 years, now an amalgamated congregation - Silver Spire United Church. Prior to Memorial, Dwain served at the Wadena Pastoral Charge in Saskatchewan for 4 years, consisting of Wadena, Rose Valley and Archerwill United Churches.
In addition to his work at Southminster, Dwain is currently serving as Chair of Niagara Presbytery and is a member of the Executive of Hamilton Conference. |
Prior to entering into ministry Dwain worked primarily in restaurant and retail management. Dwain earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Trent University, Peterborough, a Master's Degree in Divinity from Queen's University, Kingston and was ordained in 1997. Dwain continues to grow in faith and ministry preparation by attending continuing education events. Along with his wife Colleen, Dwain has two children - Felicia and Edward who are both studying at Brock University. Dwain enjoys golfing, curling and a variety of activities with his family. |
